Sometimes I get excited about the idea of writing a program that is similar to a spreadsheet, but is less “fuzzy”.

Maybe the administration should be as optimistic in estimating social security’s solvency as they are in projecting tax revenues.
There was a nice sunset tonight, but now it is gone and you can’t see it.
I am surprised that, other than the commercial version, nobody has integrated SSL with VNC.
pooh.
All I will say is that I’m still awake, for lousy reasons.
After adding several gigabytes of music to my iPod using gtkpod at home, I hooked it up to my computer at work. I thought I might download some podcasts.
iTunes, however, had other plans. It decided to delete all the music except the 20 songs in its own database.
I feel like either the majority of computer users live steeped in shit, or I have somehow lost the ability to use closed source software without exposing obvious, reproducible, obnoxious bugs.
UPDATE: I’ve concluded this is intentional (a feature!?). I can turn it off, but only when the iPod is connected to iTunes, meaning I have to let it delete all my music again before I can turn it off. iTunes is more iClosedSourceCrap and if it weren’t Microsoft I’d be thrilled that Apple is going to license a patent covering the iPod interface.
This is quite a bit worse than the ghetto party.
Time for some rant-tastic ranting.
Since comcast has utterly failed to fix a congestion problem that has recurred for at least a month, I’m forced to conclude they’re either incompetent or flat out unwilling to provide decent service.
Looking at this thread on dslreports and a similar thread on the comcast help forums, I’m certain this is not an isolated problem.
The plan for tonight is to:
